(picture taken two days ago - may she forgive us our ignorance)It was certainly my reaction when I met her three months ago. "Yeah," laughed the guy that sold her to us, "We've only owned her a few months, but she's too slow for our boy." Sold. We like slow in a pony.
What possible consequence could there be for buying a fat pony?
Ah.
That one.
There is much incredulous rejoicing here today. Now Ainsley needs to figure out a name for that little man. And Cookie? She's positively svelte now!

Are you kidding me?!! What an awesome surprise!! Did you all just wake up and find her with babe next to her?
Danni, Ainsley came in and said "Tia had a baby! He's thistiny!" I couldn't figure out what she's talking about since my horse Tia is definitely not pregnant.
Then I saw a little brown goat running in the horse pasture and thought "Dagnabit!" (I seriously thought that - Ainsley's always saying it and has me saying it now.) and went out to get the goat back in its pen. But it wasn't a goat. Then we had to call Matt immediately and tell him to come home to look. What a surprise!
He wasn't there this morning when I watered them, btw, so he's sooo brand new! <3
This is just so FUN!!! Can't wait to see more pics! (and pls tell Ainsley "congratulations!" from me.) :-)
Whoa... so did you know the big fat pony was pregnant and that was the surprise for Ainsley? Or were you surprised too?
TOTALLY surprised - all of us! The man that sold her to us didn't know either.
What an awesome story and an even better gift!
That is awesome! How cool for you guys. I actually thought it was a goat in your first pictures too and had to go back to read/look again.
That is so awesome! So fun that Ainsley was the one to discover the baby too.
Now that's funny . . . and you got one heck of a deal!!
How awesome...my 2 year old, Scout, goes out on an excursion in the yard each morning. She came back one morning to report "momma, there are birds in the chicken coop"! Her first chicks. Congrats on the new family member!
M&M - thanks for sharing your story about your daughter. Too cute! :)
Such a delightful surprise! Your family will be telling this story for generations!
That is the best surprise ever!
Wow! Very cool surprise.
What an amazingly awesome day :)
