Vacation Ideas.

Quick call for ideas - husband wants to go to the coast for a vacation. He's thinking Oregon or California, maybe the Newport area? They have a nice aquarium there.

Any ideas? Any 'must-sees' in that area? Or anywhere along the northern part of California/southern part of Oregon's coastline? Anyone between Southern Idaho and the coast want us to visit on the way through?

I love to go to Seaside, Oregon. It's not as warm as California - but it is beautiful.

What? Really?? Oregon?! Cool!!!
Newport *does* have a nice aquarium. Oregon also has a beautiful mountain (Hood), an incredible and world-renowned gorge (Columbia Gorge), and many, many other beautiful natural wonders. But I'm a northwest Oregonian and not all that familiar with the southern coastline, though I believe the sand dunes of Florence are in that area and those are quite fun to play in/on. Oh, and Crater Lake. You'd have to go see Crater Lake.
But jeez. Don't you know that northwest Oregon is *really* the place to be? ;-)

Seaside is fun, but it's pretty far from southern Oregon. It is, however, less than an hour from where I live. :-)

Anywhere along the Oregon coast is beautiful. Newport is great or anywhere above or below it. Have fun.
